Yeah. I get that. Jimmy lived down the street from my parents for 4 or 5 years, and I'd run into him sometimes when I was over there helping out. He's just a genuine dude and was a really good neighbor, even with the travel schedule and the weird hours. It was really bittersweet at the end, and even if it ended up being the Pens I was happy for him when he found success in his next gig.To be fair, in 2006 our seats were in front of the owners box, so we regularly saw JR while going to and from our seats. The next fall, after the Cup win, my wife and I were walking by him and he stopped us and said “I never had a chance to thank you for your support last year.”
On a personal level, he could be a really good guy. The kind of thing that made me melancholy when he left, because I felt a bit bad about knowing it was past time.
