A day later I just loved how the Russian kid battled in net and really looks like a fierce competitor in there…he’s got a big set of stones and oozes with confidence. He held his own in three straight road games with a lot on the line and he looks like the future real deal in net. He also looks like a guy that is not afraid to mix it up if guys want to get in his grill in the crease.

All the best to Tripp and his recovery. Shane Willis did a pretty darn good job last night.
A stranger tuning in for the first time never would have known how few games Shane has under his belt.

Well he’s been doing the pregame, intermission and postgame for a while and the things he talked about in those segments are basically what a color commentator is, only in real time. He is a natural, I think. I thought he would be Tripps replacement if he wasn’t retained a couple years ago. He is a great guy and great in the local hockey community. Wish he wasn’t getting his shot under these circumstances, but it is what it is.

Just bought one. Supposed to come with a personalized video and you can type in the box what you would like him to say....I told him to say what he wants, but that I want Slavin with him to give the post win hug.....lets see if he actually does it
I freaking knew somebody was going to like that. It's just so ... obvious.
Yeah. I'm his designated apologist, but even I have to admit that he's hasn't improved at the rate I would have expected. By now I expected a grown up, vaguely professional goal call if nothing else, and he hasn't even managed that.
I think they’ve delayed the video even more. You hear pings seconds before the puck hits a post.
Yeah, that ain't helping either. Still, that would be the same for all the feeds and I don't notice other PxP guys stumbling near as much when I watch other games, and I've watched a fair amount of home games on TV this season and it shouldn't be an issue for those games. The big fella is still struggling with the pace, and fair play ... I would be as well. But nobody's paying me to do it.
I watched Vegas last night so so I could get a helping of The Mighty Forslund. Night and day.
Oh, I'm not holding him to that high a standard and I don't rate Forslund as highly as some of y'all anyway. And I still think he's in the lower tier in the league. Even behind old guys who should have retired five years ago ... and there's a lot of those.
