2021 Draft Thread

bingo, now he appears to be a hypocrite as he expected forgiveness for his youthful "transgressions" and asked for the public to give him their vote, yet he is now against us giving Mailloux a second chance. Total trap and he fell into it.
It wasn't a trap if he doesn't believe he had transgressions. I don't think for a second that imbecile believes he did anything wrong, as he stands on his podium to virtue signal his wokeness.

Trudeau might be one of the dumbest motherfuckers ever elected. Seriously.

good point

Did Trudeau want the Russian too, or someone else in that position I wonder?

Oh, you mean he had a different reason for not liking the pick?

Hope the kid is tough enough to take this. How would they all react if he wasn't(God forbid)?

Of course no one thinks of that, too busy with their own agendas....

I love the idea of the Canadian press feeling the need to be judge, jury and executioner on a case that has already been resolved in the country it happened in.

Do people want him tried here? Is the answer, he should never be allowed to play hockey again because of what happened? If he was an elite engineering student, and this happened should he not be allowed to be an engineer?

I think it's a good thing that people aren't letting this type of behaviour slide. I know some of you keep saying he was just 17 but at that age you know what's up.

Nobody's "letting it slide", but the notion that some people are treating him like he was a rapist is beyond laughable. He did something that was really stupid, will have a tarnished reputation for the foreseeable future and he'll either have to grow up real quick or he'll be crushed by it. And this is his second chance, any other fuckup and he's gone.

The overreaction and virtue signaling is nauseating to me.

Part of it are males, part of it is the culture in hockey.

I played hockey a good chunk of my life growing up, and for the most part, the biggest douchebags I've met in my life were hockey players.

A lot of them are rich, entitled, pompous, and take shit for granted. And if you're a good hockey player in high school and you get noticed because of it? All of that is amplified.
