2023 Draft and UFA Thread

I have no doubt that Wright will sort himself out and be an everyday NHLer. But I don't see him ever being a guy who pulls you out of your seat or has a HOF career. He will slot into the class of very good players but if he's ever the best player on his team then his team isn't going anywhere. He'll have a Suzuki type career at best, I think, which is fine but it's not 1OA fine.

Slaf has more potential to have a more elite career, a more memorable, exciting career. But he too, will likely not be (nor should he be) the most talented player on the team. The best sniper, perhaps, but not the best player. And if he pumps enough rubber into the net for long enough he might get into a HOF conversation someday.

Yuuuuuuup.

From all indications, he didn't have a great playoff series there either.

Not a good sign.

1G 2A in 4 games.

Beck is basically a point a game, but his prime mission is to shut down the opposing big line, take key face offs, etc. He definitely played a role in Peterborough causing two playoff upsets and why they are leading London 2-1.

Edit: I’m wrong, it’s 15pts in 20 games, which is mediocre I suppose. But the other parts, the big shut down mins, are for real.

Beck is playing well , has a lesser offensive role in Peterborough
