2023 Draft and UFA Thread

Marinaro's a meathead that makes interviews fucking annoying, but if you can get past that part, it's a good one with Simon Boisvert.

His top-4 right now is the same as everyone, Bedard #1, and a mix of Fantilli/Michkov/Carlsson, while being undecided on the other. At 5th as we speak, he has Quentin Musty 5th.

Not surprised about Musty at all

Same as Brady Tkachuk will have a good 10 year career

Isn’t going to wow you but will be a solid PF

Will Smith, the USNTDP center, sounds intriguing if we’re drafting 5-8. We need another top line center to go with Nick. Not drafting Logan Cooley may have been a mistake. It's incredible how much more dominant he looks from last year.

I dont want 2 centers under 6 feet with Cooley

I fully expect Beck to grow into that role, similar to Krejci behind Bergeron

Thanks for posting.

Boisvert is always interesting.

Marinaro is always appalling.

I always have time for people who have their own opinions, know their stuff, do not follow the beaten path, and have a track record of being more right than not.

A lot of the "pundits" that follow prospects are very cookie cutter, never put themselves out there, everyone has similar opinions, etc. Very uninspiring and generally a waste of time. Boisvert was the first guy who had real doubts about Wright being the first overall pick, and only right before the draft did some of those "pundits" have the audacity to put Slafkovsky above Wright. Boisvert had his 6th.

He'll get some wrong too, but that's part of the gig.
