2023 Draft and UFA Thread

I expect the Panthers to dump some vets at the deadline to try and acquire a first round pick this year. That would likely help the Habs too.

Give them back their first for Barkov. Or Tkachuk. We could use either one.

No, it means something. It just doesn't mean a lot.

The WJC is not the end all, be all. It is, however, one of many tools available to you when it comes to making a call on a player.

Unfortunately, the WJC is also the only tournament where a bunch of draft eligible players are going to play:

1- At the same time.
2- With the same ruleset & icerink
3- Against the same level of competition

It is quite literally the only time we'll have all season to be able to compare these players on something equal before teams select them in the draft.

Don't kid yourself, a lot of teams are going to look at the WJC when selecting the player, along with the rest of the games played.
