2023 Draft and UFA Thread

COVID vaccines weren’t meant to “stop transmission”, they were meant to lower morbidity and hospitalization rates for people who are infected. To suggest otherwise is gaslighting or a misunderstanding of pharmacology.
They were heavily promoted as a way to prevent transmission and stop the spread of COVID. You had to take the vaccine or else you were killing grandma.

That was the exact govt/media narrative over here. Which for the majority of people who don't seek information themselves, is all they 'know'.
There will be some fascinating case studies/data coming out in the coming years.

Anyway, I'm still hopeful we can drop another spot in the standings (y)

Yup. The people who love power though shaming others were having a field day riding around on that high horse.

Blowing it and passing on the Russian only for him to make us regret it big time in a few years. But we’ll get another quality bottom 6 guy…

Michkov at 5 is a no brainer. I think someone will grab him at 4.

Draft Michkov get PLD and wait (while watching Geemans head explode).

I agree Suzuki and PLD are close to the same player for what they bring with Nick having better IQ and Dubois more physical.

I look at it in an asset context. Is Dubois a better player than you're likely to get at 15? The answer is yes which is why I'm not even sure you can get him for that.

Suzuki/Dach/Dubois is a solid group down the middle. Yes they're not superstars (still curious about Dach's ceiling) but they're all very good and above average defensively for two of them.

If you don't land one of the elite centers (Bedard /Fantilli /Carlsson) and grab Michkov (likely winger) then you shift to PLD with the Panthers pick unless the big Austrian falls. It's kind of what they did with Dach.

using Fauci and Biden's words is now gaslighting?
