2023 Draft and UFA Thread

Haha. Yes. It amazes me how well these 14 and 15 year old kids at that level skate today.
Even the younger kids - it’s the skill camps. I don’t ever remember being taught Mohawk transitions with obstruction on the ice in Atom or Pee Wee - my kids are heading back to this camp again this summer, it’s mind blowing the level of skill from 6 year olds up through teens.

Add to it these guys bring in their clients which get the kids even more into it - last year McAvoy, Fox & Zegras all participated for 4 of the 5 days

Are there any of these coaches in the summer involved in the pro leagues in some capacity

Assume so, but don’t know for a fact - Krusty or others may know more.

Erik Nates told me he didn’t want to continue to work for a pro team unless it was strictly in a consultancy capacity to give him freedom to focus on his own business interests - he’s expanding his program across all the US. It’s really a hard boot camp for kids, they don’t screw around

Once they turn 14/15, tier 1 hockey involving the better teams actually looks like “real” hockey. It’s really fun to watch at that level. I’m just hoping we can win a game next week. We’re the 13th seed of the 16 teams at Nationals. Shattuck St. Mary’s is the favorite, surprise, surprise.
