I can see Stramel move into the top 5.....absolute beast

If Dach is a bust we’ll draft a top C prospect next June, unless we’re drafting top 3 anyway and then Dach’s status will be irrelevant . . . unless they really want the Russian.

They can wait for the Russian if Dach works out. He's special man, might be better than Bedard. Problem is his contract is through 2025.

I say he slips past 5 , all things being equal .

Mucho risk with rushkies

Michkov is an interesting case, he’s signed for 3-seasons in KHL… wonder if he drops out of top-5

I think he slips in the 6-8 range , but it depends on the team

If the 16th place team moves up the maximum 10 spots they may see it as hitting the lottery and play it out

If the top 5 picks are all weaker teams , I dont think one is risking it with the brevy of talent available

Unrelated to this year's draft, but for those of you who can go watch some WHL games, watch this kid. He's fourteen (!) years old, turning 15 in December. He's probably not going to play much in the WHL this season, god knows their reasoning for the rule is fucking stupid. Give a player Exceptional Status, but you don't let him play more than 5 games. Like... shrug.

But starting in 2023-2024, keep an eye on him.
