2023 Draft and UFA Thread

But Chicago kinda went full potato last year. They liquidated for picks in draft with decade worst crop of top prospects.

Maybe we can find a team to take one of the shitty contracts (or maybe vice versa to get more picks.)

You didn’t think so last year either. We don’t know what we don’t know
Hawks were tanking moving even younger pieces for the rebuild

Normally a Dach type on the cheap at 21 is a keeper

The pieces I am interested in are players like Pinto or Kulich but from teams in our conference

I mean, there's been word that the Habs wouldn't be picking Russians at any point ever since the war started. This is pretty on-brand.

Not to mention there might be hesitancy with what happened to Michkov's father and the three year waiting period.

It wouldn't stop me from taking him, but I've all but come to grips that regardless of what I want, he's not coming here.

Habs cant fuck up another top 5 draft pick , need to be 100000% certain he is coming over in 3 years

If we were drafting 10th to 12th, Reinbacher would be an option. But at 5th / 6th, it seems like a reach.

Smith > Perreault > Dvorsky > Leonard

Proooooobably in that order.

And with Florida's pick, which is looking like it might be late in the first, Étienne Morin.
