Hot off the presses after practiceWhere did you see that? By all accounts it was week to week per Rod and everyone else.

RBA told the Raleigh reporters and it was NHL radio about the same time.Where did you see that? By all accounts it was week to week per Rod and everyone else.
Shoulda kidnapped Vejmelka or Ingram when they left Utah. You have no choice, you have to go find/trade for another option if Freddy is out months and months. No disrespect to Martin but go find a better number two than that for the long haul, Freddy can no longer be counted on at this point.
Any teams still carrying three goalies? Lyon in Detroit available? Scary to consider someone like Jarry who has been awful and the contract is gross. I guess a guy like Reimer or Kahkonen who have bounced around the waiver wire are looking for a more permanent gig...
Are you not going to need a platoon for Pyotr regardless moving forward next year and beyond? If Freddy and that body is pretty much shot we all know the Canes will not be even thinking about bringing him back, it would not hurt if you could somehow find a better option than Martin now and even into next year if you had a contract with term...just a tough time to ever shore up your goaltending mid season and every other team knows you are scrambling. Martin is a good 3 on the depth chart and that's probably where it ends...a fulltime backup to Pyotr for the remainder is a bit scary for me.Unless you really think this is a cup run year, I don't think you go get another goaltender, at least not an Andersen 1A/1B replacement.
This was supposed to be a down year, and the team has been playing stretches as good as I've seen in a decade, but unless you think you're at least an ECF team I think you hold pat, let those inflated contracts drop off this summer, bring in Boom and some Wolves, and get a real stud in goalie if one is to be had.
How would they know? Without solid goaltending it’s not a cup run year but this team is every bit as good as last year’s team. I think the media says it was a reset/down year but I think our D is better and our forward mix works better. The key is and was Necas and KK. If they play like legit top 6 forwards it’s a cup run year.Unless you really think this is a cup run year, I don't think you go get another goaltender, at least not an Andersen 1A/1B replacement.

Meh. That time was in the summer. Instead they chose to bring him back and now are paying the consequences. As everyone has noted, this was 100% predictable. Trying to make a goalie move during the season is SO much more difficult than in the summer.Time to dump Anderson
Yep, and that is criminal because we sat through 60 minutes of Perets against Nashville’s full NHL roster in pre season action and that was freaking scary to watch. The Canes even playing Perets in the AHL this season is a stretch based on talent level of his game right now.Oh, and just to reality check this thing ... there's a pretty good chance you'll be paying money to watch freaking Perets try to play goal against the Blues on Sunday afternoon. A guy who almost certainly should be in the ECHL.
If he needs surgery, then they'll almost certainly have to put him on LTIR so they can add another NHL goalie. And apparently surgery is actually on the table. Meaning he's got some sort of tear ... MCL, groin, ankle ligament, something.Should Freddie be on LTIR?
