2024 Draft

Dickinson was easily best player on the ice in the third period. What is more, he looks assured and in control.

Parekh’s game is wild and unsettled. He looks like a “high event” player.

Nobody on London had a great game in the first two periods. It was a bad time to have a shitty game.

But once the third came around, Dickinson took the game over. He was the best player on the ice.

Did he make mistakes? Sure. He's a 17 year old Junior player, after all. But you can see the tools, the instincts and he's got a body that needs bulking up to play at the NHL level.

Parekh's a guy who will be an NHLer, but he'll drive coaches nuts and there's a good chance he'll move around a fair bit. He'll always have nice numbers, but you can't really depend on him.

Parehk might drop out of the top 10. He was ropey in a very intense pro-style game.
Parehk is like Bouchard , not going to wow you physically or defensively

Bread and butter is the PP and moving the puck , he needs an Ekholm beast next to him

Sam is a fucken beast

So, who are we hoping falls to 26 for us? Provided we don't move up or down.

Andrew Basha?
Ryder Ritchie?
Marek Vanacker?

As we all know, NHL is a copycat / what is the latest fad league, will be interesting to see how the size & strength playoff roster construction factor, influences the draft…

Posted a Larry Brooks article “this summer NYR focus is all about size & strength and sacrificing regular season pretty stats for playoff success…. The cores time is over”.

There will be more of those takes leading up to draft IMO..
