It would depend on where that pick it is. Top 7 or 8, no, but below 8 you have to consider it. Neither Eiserman nor Lindstrom will be available by then.Really hope we don’t trade for Zegras with our pick.

Eiserman maybe, some negative narratives has been building up around him that might make him slip.It would depend on where that pick it is. Top 7 or 8, no, but below 8 you have to consider it. Neither Eiserman nor Lindstrom will be available by then.
If we draft top 7 I would be stunned if he was our pick.Berkley Catton is my hope this draft. I think he should go #2 and will end up the 2nd best forward after Celebrini. Ultra-high skill level. Reminds me a bit of Zach Benson. But bigger, faster. and I dare say more skilled offensively. Has a higher gear and can also slow the play down. Not as much a dog-on-a-bone as Benson, or not quite as elite defensively, but I think has a bit of a higher ceiling overall. And I love Benson. Had him before Smith on my list last year. After Catton I like Demidov. But I suspect the Habs are shying away from using a lottery pick on a Russian.
Well then . . .But he's already wearing Habs colors .

I'm not a big fan of Lindstrom. To me seems like a guy without enough offensive ceiling to translate his offense to star potential in the NHL. Guys that are already men physically in the CHL tend to have their way. Not as easy in the bigs. I like Eiserman, but see him as a one-trick pony. He's awesome at that one trick, for sure. I think if we're shooting for a very real chance at an offensive star player, a play driver, it's either Catton or Demidov. 'Cause I doubt we'll be after any of the 3 or so defensemen thought to be in the top 10.Well then . . .
A forward wearing a goalies number. For shame. But he's already wearing Habs colors .

Or worse, he could be a Mathews fanA forward wearing a goalies number. For shame.
Yeah, and a crappy one at that.A forward wearing a goalies number. For shame.
Not sure why you're saying that, he seems ahead of Benson at the same age.Catton is likely at least three 2-3 years from the NHL after he’s drafted. I think that will be an issue for HuGo - anyone who thinks that Jeff Gorton just defers to Hughes on personnel matters is living in fantasyland - so I think that if the only draftable options when they pick are in that category, they’ll try and package the pick for a Dach-like return.
I don’t think Benson should be playing in the NHL this season. Not sure why you're saying that, he seems ahead of Benson at the same age.
I agree. Already plays an NHL game. Very high IQ and very poised. Sees the ice really well, and anticipates really well, and does not panic. Kinda reminds me of Steve Yzerman in some ways. Seems to play a leadership role too.Not sure why you're saying that, he seems ahead of Benson at the same age.
I don't disagree. But there is not really a single forward that seems NHL ready at our spot. I think it would take a lot for us to trade that pick. Personally I'd swing for the fence on that one and pick the forward with the most upside.I don’t think Benson should be playing in the NHL this season.
