2024 Draft

Dach likely adds 6-8 points so likely
10-12 minimum

Habs played 26OT games (10-16) w Dach likely netted 5pts

Played additional 18 1-goal games, have to think 3-4 additi wins (6-8 pts)

Would’ve been in the thick of things for last wildcard spot

No doubt in my mind w Dach & Hutson in the lineup looking at 90pts minimum next season - I expect Habs PP to be top-10 even w Burrows as coach

That’s without a top-6 upgrade which I think is a guarantee this summer

no chance he is that difference

We don't know who Dach is...yet.

Is he a legit top 6 centre that can play with a Slaf or Cole type? because that's what we need him to be.

Newhook looked good as #3 pivot.

He may just be a top 6 winger.

a possibility....which leaves a big hole at C

Habs need Dach to be a solid #2.....PLUS need to draft a a homerun forward this summmer... PLUS see Joshua Roy grow into a top 6 guy (or trade/sign that guy)

All these things are definitely possible but they have to occur if Sal's rose tinted projections are to be taken seriously

We don’t know but I think we have a pretty decent idea. Coming off a very good first season here, he was the best player during training camp and, I know it was 6.5 months ago, but he was outstanding in the season opener against Toronto, and then his season ended the next game. I think he would have been a 65 pt. center this season, if not a little more. Without him, there was no second line.

But in 2 of his last 4 seasons, he’s played 18 games and 2 games respectively

Yes, "The most important ability is availability," as they say. But is he injury-prone, or just the victim of bad luck? Given that Lindstrom can play center or wing, Dach's injury history might be another reason to draft him at 2, or at 5-7 if he's still on the board when we pick. Then again, Lindstrom might have back issues . . . Just win the damn lottery!

ergo, take Lindstrom...

Dach won’t forget how to play hockey. He might be a bit rusty on his return and I guess the concern is that he is somewhat scarred by the injuries. But my assumption is he’s the 65 pt C we expected last year.

He’s a 60-75 point pace guy… the question is can he play a decent number of games

There’s a strong chance it’s just bad luck with some serious injuries… so I’ll go with that
