2024 Draft

Those people also assume nobody else wants to read them either. That only applies to Wehave.

He's a great skater with a great shot, and he's huge. At worst, he's a second line wing. At worst. No brainer to draft him at 5 if his back is fine and Demidov is gone. Also, Geeman wouldn't take him so 100% certain he's the right pick at 5.
I pick the potential 2 way D horse 7 days a week over at worst second line wing with a back injury

Isn’t Marner your poster boy for pousse pousse caca hockey?
No doubt he had a poor playoff showing this year but for his career he’s a 0.9PPG playoff player, the highest scoring playoff performer on a Make Beliefs team with poor roster construction, one in which Marner has no big body insulation, which wouldn’t be the case playing w the likes of Dach.

With some big body insulation, a defensive core that’s stronger, and G, there’s little doubt in my mind he’ll easily be a PPG playoff guy or come close to matching his regular season output.

This is a buy low moment on a high end talent who excels in 200-ft game / PK, IMO, with all the background noise emanating from the second toughest hockey market

I would also offer up, Panarin is well below his career regular season scoring rate in his playoff history, but he seems to be doing ok w bigger bodies like Lafreniere or Kreider …

I'll allow the assumption.....but no way in hell the Leafs will entertain your offer...they need an excellent talent to fill the roster ASAP, they've already wasted too much of their Auston Matthews window.

I wouldn’t either if I was the Make Beliefs ..

Zegras has a Marchand edge to his game which is overlooked by many - he’s always had it.

As for Marner, there aren’t many top end scorers who are dominant PK / 200-ft players - rare breed

Lack of maturity can be overcome, in the right environment, assuming player has a history of being coachable & inner drive

At worst he’s a 3rd line winger that took 5 years to develop. At worst. He’s too intriguing to pass up for us.
