Tanev still has it as a shutdown guy, but I'm increasingly weary of reports blithely ignoring age. He's gonna be 40 when that deal is over.

His actual was $2.7 million but his cap hit was only $1.8 million because he played for a barely above minimum $900k the first year.

He’s also a guy that buys in 100% and can be used up and down the lines. Not that we like first line Marty the fact that Rod will do it gives some flexibility.
 
We signed LW Eric Robinson to a 1 year $950 AAV contract. He had 3 goals and 7 assists last season playing for Columbus and Buffalo. He is a bottom 6 winger.
