We have no reason not to trust Wes, but my issue with Dorothy Mantooth at 31 is, was it such an intolerable risk to grab one of the higher end mainstream prospects first and just hope Mantooth was there at 58?

Tough to believe we’ll unearth Cowan type gems every time.

The hell should I know, I mean one of the higher ranked guys that most other teams will be going for in the 30s. Seems like Mantooth could’ve gone anywhere between here and 100.

I will say though that my YouTube scouting sees a kid much better than all these bad low end reviews, but these are some pretty awful “Goat could top out as a good 3C” type predictions.

Picking a physical 6'1 rd with elite skating at 31 is fine by me. That's an NHL toolbox. Now we see if he can put it together and improve his production!
