Now I got my hopes up that Tre is gone. It better actually happen. And they better replace him with a real person. Because contrary to popular belief, you could do a lot worse than Tre.

Having no management presser date/time announced is a bit unusual. I mean we know shanny isn't getting renewed but you'd think they'd at least schedule one for Tre. Or maybe they're still deciding what to do with him. Could be a promotion!

It's not like a ton of NBA players don't join basketball OPS after they retire, it's just that they get funneled towards coaching if they haven't distinguished themselves as understanding the business of the game at a really high level.

Of the small handful of guys who made that jump in the NBA, James Jones graduated with a degree in finance before entering the NBA draft, Langdon graduated from Duke with a math degree. Ainge in marketing and business admin before playing for a bag of years.

Dunleavy is the only one who kind of has the classic NHL player's pathway to the front office.
