AFP provides a range based on tax locations. I just pick their market rate column.

They've got Bennett at

Top 6 Tax Locations: 6.1
Market Rate: 6.6
Bottom 6 Tax Locations: 7.0

Which honestly, is already paying a pretty significant premium for a guy that will give you an 82 game pace of 27G, 56P (his florida numbers)

How much more do we expect him to get? Kadri was a few years older, had the same physical ratfuckery and cup stink but is also a 65-80+ point centre and got 7x7 recently. Cirelli signed recently for 6.25.

I'm thinking that we might have Bennett PTSD here a bit more than the rest of the market does.

Mirtle and dom had him at 9 which also feels way off. I guess we'll see though. My first instinct is one team is dumb enough to go high 7s/low 8s but that's a pure guess.

It’d actually be a uniquely hilarious situation if Treliving gives Bennett a disastrous overpay UFA contract.

It’d be a rare feat where the same GM sold absurdly low on a player (dumped him for a 2nd rounder back in 2021) before turning back around and buying ridiculous high on the very same player after his best years have already been squeezed out of him on the cheap by the team he sold low to.
