2025-2026 Off Season Thread - The Rehappening

Watched the Tre presser.

Interesting, despite not giving any concrete answers (too early to have them, to be fair). I like the way he thinks about things, I have to say.

Most important takeaways for me, that he says we need to change the DNA of the team so that we don’t wilt in those closeout games. Said once Florida scored the first one in game 7, we looked like we were down 4-0 (I said at the time how critical it was we scored first).

He had a strong and positive reaction on Tavares (said he’s a subjectivity a big fan), and less so on Marner (just objectively that he’s a great player). He didn’t shut the door on Marner, saying he told him both camps should step back and take a breath. But when asked if he’d for sure make an offer to Marner and Tavares, he didn’t say yes.

Seems like changing the DNA and not definitely making an offer to Marner means he intends for him to leave.

Problem with filet is that the flavour is really mild unless you're spending a stupid amount of money on at least Aussie wagyu or better.

If you want your steak to taste like something while still being relatively lean, go with skirt, hanger, denver
After having wagyu in Japan I don't think I can go back to regular steak

I can't remember what marbling score it was, but I've had it here and I get what you're saying....but its such a different experience from regular steak that I don't even compare them to each other. I couldn't imagine eating Japanese wagyu regularly. Its ridiculous but its not really what I'm looking forward to when I think about picking up beef from the butcher. Dunno, maybe if I could try some of the beefier cuts like hanger or flank I'd change my mind on that and be addicted.
