Tuch is a great fit for that roster … for about two thirds of that term, and you’re over-paying him by roughly 30%.

Avs send Jack Drury to Nashville. He’s a RFA with arbitration rights.

Nashville is looking to build a whole ex-Colorado 3rd line. Chris McFarlane apparently has some favorite players....
Given that Nashville was 20th in the NHL in goals last season, adding Ross Colton (9 goals) and Jack Drury (10 goals) is a choice.... Jack Drury will help with faceoffs.

Together they give you a quality 4th line who can kill half your penalties and both can play spot duty up the lineup if needed. That’s solid business even if it’s on the back end of the lineup.
That’s definitely a factor in goosing the trade market. As is the continued Cap expansion and the lack of a UFA pool. And if you were planning to move a draft pick on Friday anyway, why do it in the middle of all that chaos when you can do it now?
