Tampa put Point on LTIR, so there is another spot open on Team Canada. With him being a center, I feel like that spot goes to Bedard.

Schiefele might be a tough guy to leave off too, Bedard or Schiefele, flip a coin on do they want the smaller or bigger center.

Schiefele has more than earned it, but Team Canada has some sort of issue with him … similar to Team USA’s issue with Robertson I suspect. If it was me, I’d have Schiefele on the phone right freaking now.

Panarin apparently said LA or bust so that changes things on the return…Rangers retained 50% for this season.

Here are the details. Greentree was a 2024 first rounder, playing an overage year with OHL Windsor. He signed his ELC in July 2024.

That said, Liam Greentree is a legit prospect. Big winger, LA's 1st round pick in 2024 draft. Playing his 19 year old season (he turned 20 on January 1st) for Windsor in the OHL. Really the equivalent of getting a late 1st round pick, which is all the Rangers could really have hoped for if Panerin was forcing a trade to just 1 team.

That makes the Canes trade of Rantanen for 2 1sts 2 3rds and Logan Stankoven look even better.

Panarin had them over a barrel, but that is a pretty poor return for the Rangers, IMO - and I couldn't be happier.
