Really interesting trade, it's two organizations that generally know what they're doing so they get some benefit of doubt. Rantanen is the best player in the deal but he's going to be UFA. Necas has one more year left but bring similar, albeit less elite, qualities as MR. Colorado doesn't seem all in for this year, while Carolina are trying to push their chips further in the mix. I get both sides of the deal (besides Chicago which I have no idea what they're trying to achieve).

I think in the end both teams lose this trade, neither will win the Cup and both teams will end up losing that player, or overpaying to keep him.
