Sure, Farabee & Frost make Calgary better, I guess... But Calgary's problem isn't middle of the pack players, their best forwards are all playing like middle of the pack forwards. And, what, they're going to give Morgan Frost a 4-5-6 year deal to be a mediocre #2 center?

For Philly, they out of the Farabee contract & get a 2nd... Pelletier's just there to even out the contracts. Whole league could have had him for free early this season at league minimum & nobody bit. I dunno, I guess I thought they could get more for Frost than that.

Flames scrambling to get decent players, change of scenery may help both. They have too many vets to tank and need some younger players
Flyers simply dumping contracts , makes sense for both teams

I like the trade for the Flyers . . . if the goal is to get a top 5 pick in the draft. But there’s still no good reason why Torts is the coach. He’s hampering their “rebuild” or whatever the hell it is.

At least Briere and Jones have embraced a rebuild and are dumping salary

Torts is simply trying to preach attention to detail for their own good

Team needs to hit on their picks moving forward

Gauthier netted a slug in Drysdale , they fucked up not drafting Caufield and now parted ways with 2 former first rounders

I dont see Luchanko anything more than a third line center

Cotourier is washed and Tippet got paid and hasnt improved

Much more work to be done

Comcast CEO Brian Roberts at their recent shareholders meeting told investment community he has not and will not authorize any form of rebuild w Flyers, and there will be management changes if revenue streams are not increased, when asked about revenue from ComcastSpectator division, where Flyers are one of the holdings

This is what owners in markets where fucking the fans isn't an option do. They patch and stay mired in mediocrity for eons. Fortunately Habs fans love getting bent over.

If Montreal had fans who refused to put up with rebuilding and were willing to stop paying money to watch them, the Habs would be patching just like the Flyers. HuGo have the luxury of doing a proper rebuild because the arena will be sold out every game no matter what. Geoff Molson isn't peeling paint off the walls threatening people with their jobs if they dont make the playoffs.
