HuGo have the luxury of doing a proper rebuild because the arena will be sold out every game no matter what. Yeah, can't see much wrong with that from their end. They gave up the best player (Pettersson), but he's a UFA. I guess Vancouver soured quickly on Desharnais, which we kind of thought might happen. They paid a price to get rid of him.

Vancouver made a better first trade than second, considering the bind they were apparently in. Even though it really wasn't great either.

Desharnais is garbage. He only has a job because he's a big physical specimen. Without that he'd be a career AHLer.
