I’d like Hooker to move to the third line.

I wouldn’t give up on Dach….
Antoine Roussel had a great comment about it on the Sortie De Zone podcast a few months back, about how Dach hasn’t yet realized that his runway is getting shorter. Got traded once, he’s slowly but surely blowing up his second chance. If he doesn’t turn it around, he’ll get another chance given his high draft profile and then he’ll be out of the league if he doesn’t make the most of those chances. He was a disappointment this year. Runway starting to get shorter for him as team is looking to take steps forward.
Not sure how a player can be criticized for major injuries… every player would be cautious retuning from major knee injury and when he started pushing it again …he got hurt on the same knee again.Antoine Roussel had a great comment about it on the Sortie De Zone podcast a few months back, about how Dach hasn’t yet realized that his runway is getting shorter. You can’t criticize players for injuries, but you can for work ethic. Dach had a full year to recover from his injury last year and by all accounts he showed up out of shape in training camp. That’s on him.Not sure how a player can be criticized for major injuries… every player would be cautious retuning from major knee injury and when he started pushing it again …he got hurt on the same knee again.
It’s like criticizing Nolan Patrick for not living up to his high draft selection… when it was concussions that derailed his career

I'm okay with keeping Dach provided that he needs er plays center. With or without Dach we need a credible 2C.I wouldn’t give up on Dach….he’s gonna be a great winger for either Suzuki or Demidov’s line.
I even think Dach works better with Cole-Suzuki than Slaf….eventually Slaf goes on 2nd line with Demidov
And Dach’s cap hit is pretty low for what he can bring playing as a winger for Suzuki….
At this point, and keep in mind that they both have one more year to change my mind, I'd be more inclined to re-up Laine on a reasonable deal than Dach. Super flawed player but he's been a game breaker for us, and would be on pace for about 35 goals on a full season. Dach has been a vacuum for way too many games.I remember that episode. With the Habs getting better and more ambitious, there will be fewer top 6 roles up for grabs and less patience. Demidov is gonna take up a lot of oxygen and TOI next year and there will be less tolerance for bonehead hockey by veterans.
His one out might be to replace Laine, who I suspect won’t be with the Habs after his contract expires.
Very quislingesque of you to use the American spellingI'm okay with keeping Dach provided that he needs er plays center. With or without Dach we need a credible 2C.
There's no such thing as "Canadian" English. There's British English and American English. Canadian English isn't a thing. It's just a mish-mash of the two, where we arbitrarily pick and choose which words we're going to spell which way. We spell it "tire" because that's how Americans spell it and most tire manufacturers are US based. We spell it "centre" because that's how it's spelled in French.Tire is the Canadian spelling
A vocabulary that no one outside of Canada even recognizes or is aware of.And that is Canadian English, a meshing od the two.
You blame the fools who drafted himNot sure how a player can be criticized for major injuries… every player would be cautious retuning from major knee injury and when he started pushing it again …he got hurt on the same knee again.
