With Mtl Robertson can structure his contract to be upwards of 90% in bonuses, which he DOES NOT have the luxury of doing w ANY American team - note new CBA kicking in Sept lowers both max term (7ys) & % of bonus structuring (max 60%)

So that means a $14M AAV ask in Dal, is potentially in $11M - $12M range in Mtl if heavily paid out with bonuses.

maybe, but still, American players rarely sign voluntarily with Canadian based teams unless drafted by them or are nice like 13 and 48

hell no to Robertson
 
D’Amico broke the Dobson stuff last year so he will break this year’s trade.

This Robertson one is his first post on the topic. If he posts again on him you know it’s past the “we are kicking tires” stage.

Other than that the rest is all idle speculation by then other outsiders.
