5 yrs / $13M AAV w max $58.5M in bonus
Hasn't he reportedly turned down $14m from Dallas? That would be an easy match.5 yrs / $13M AAV w max $58.5M in bonus

He won’t sign any OS….he wants the ability to dictate his future with a NTC….that’s clearly the important detail for him that’s hindering all discussions5 yrs / $13M AAV w max $58.5M in bonus

So back to finding “Dach” type reclamation projects, or hoping Thomas is asking for a trade ?Kent Hughes made it pretty clear the other day that these guys didn't take discounts so that another guy from the outside could come in and sign for $15 million. That wouldn't play so well in the Room.

Not sure we should blow our load on a winger$12M
Nill has publicly stated he will not give Robertson more than Rantanen
Any team getting JR, is getting him for only a year. And then he will entertain offers as a UFA next summerIf Jason wants out of Dallas, he’s not signing an offer sheet
And if he wants 18M, Hughes is not offering that
The only way… is the slim possibility of a trade

As of Sept 15 when CBA kicks in 90% max bonus limit gets reduced to 60%Any team getting JR, is getting him for only a year. And then he will entertain offers as a UFA next summer
Agreed….Unless it’s a McDavid/Leon type player entering the room….Kent Hughes made it pretty clear the other day that these guys didn't take discounts so that another guy from the outside could come in and sign for $15 million. That wouldn't play so well in the Room.
So why is he refusing to cash-in ?As of Sept 15 when CBA kicks in 90% max bonus limit gets reduced to 60%
NOW is Robertson’s time to ca$h in
Nill is refusing to pay him more than Rantanen + Stars historically don’t like front loading contracts + don’t like handing out more than 40% bonusSo why is he refusing to cash-in ?

Can all parties agree to a sign and trade ? And, the NTC kicks-in as of July 1 2027. Since it’s a sign a trade, the team getting him cannot trade him for a calendar year (isn’t that the rule ?)As of Sept 15 when CBA kicks in 90% max bonus limit gets reduced to 60%

All well & good cap ceiling is skyrocketing but players take home maximization is going to be significantly reduced
Signing a 5yr / $65M offer sheet w $58.5M bonus payout taking him to final retirement contract at age 32 w cap ceiling like around $150M would qualify as “breaking the bank”That's all true but if Robertson signs an offer sheet, he cedes all power to Nill. He's not going to do that unless he breaks bank

Yup .. and Nill could then turn around and use the 1st rounders + to go get LarkinCan all parties agree to a sign and trade ? And, the NTC kicks-in as of July 1 2027. Since it’s a sign a trade, the team getting him cannot trade him for a calendar year (isn’t that the rule ?)
This assures JR he’s maximizing $, and getting to choose where he lands.
And Nill would need to find a trade partner that will give him assets
