2026 NHL UFA/Trade Thread

Until he's actually traded, there's always hope. Also, this is an unusual situation because Detroit has leverage with the player.

Not sure I’d qualify playing .333 / 2nd to last in the Conf w team & coach constantly being asked about Larkin while their season goes down the toilet is called leverage.

He's under contract for 6 more seasons. They do not have to move him any time soon. If he wants to be traded so badly, they have leverage with him.
