After years of Habs players being the nails it's nice to have a couple of hammers at our disposal for a change. The league doesn't give a shit about cheap shots so why not use them as a weapon like everyone else?
As St Dominic said "it is better to be a hammer than an anvil"
I prefer better to be the ****or than the ****ee.
Meh, he was just introducing himself to the fans. No harm done.
I'm not suggesting I would change allegiance because of Shaw. I just don't feel the need of praising him for hitting a player from behind and then doing a WWE wrestler impression during the fight.
I know he was showboating but I chuckled. Heaven forbid a player has a personality. One way ticket to Nashville apparently.the Habs twitter verse was none too pleased with him.
Our fan base is full of weenies. We want toughness and grit but the second it happens, we turn on our own. BruinFan, FlyerFan, RangerFan would never have ripped on Shaw for what he did.
I agree though, better one of our guys hits one from behind into the boards than ours getting the same treatment,
Do you walk on water?Quite the logic.
A guy with 300+NHL games runs a teenager and junior d-man from behind, classy move of course, explain that one to the youngsters out there... If someone trips you, you run a different but defenceless player from behind and ham it up afterwards.
