He’s probably toast but a part of me wants him here for the small possibility for a late career resurgence.

He should do a year cheap with the Leafs for a few reasons

1) From Toronto
2) Heading into sports media, only a couple better places in NA than TO.
3) help try to bring the cup home
4) Feel good story

In all seriousness he's not a headache in the lockerroom. Plus would it be so bad if he diverted press attention away from other guys? PK is a media shield. He can still play too, albeit third pair.

If it’s two way contract, then yeh. Can’t keep blocking sandin and Timmy with vets or good pros

Would have to look it up, but I'm pretty sure that is in any given season and it's only useful for triggering an ELC slide year on their contract.
