I'd really like to wish him success and not enjoy his failures, but can't because...y'know, Oilers.

Will always have more sympathy for Jack over Fred (obvs). Seems like a genuine, good person that worked hard and now has great security and is set for life. But fuck that team.

Yeah, that tweet was a deliberate troll by Dreger-lite. The thought of the Leafs' two most recent starting goalies, both of whom were discarded by Toronto, facing off in the Cup final is probably enough to make a guy like Lebrun jerk it.

People are pretty well practiced about saying this about Oilers goaltending. Heard it all the time in the myth-making about Grant Fuhr growing up.

"Sure, he let in five bad goals a game, but by gosh when you needed him to stop the sixth one from going in, he was there for you!!"
 
On the one hand, I like the guy. I'd have been happy for him to stay on a reasonable short deal.

On the other hand, I kinda begrudge him for leaving for the money and playing in that shithole, and feel like if he made a dash for the cash, he needs to just accept that he'll be $25M richer, but he's likely not gonna do well there.
 
He's been real good today. Axl may now get to rub it in our petty, vindictive faces by jacking off ferociously and giving us all an epic facial.
 
He hasn't had anything to do in the third. It's mostly just the Oil buzzing but somehow not really getting shots either.

Strange game. Good flow, but few shots, ergo kinda boring. Let's see what the last few minutes bring.

It is a weird start for Jack, seems to give up an early goal or two every game. Too early in the season to make any judgements (not that this stops anybody around here), but I am cheering for Happy Jack even though I think we are all a part of Happy FI in avoiding that contract. And go #Oil!
 
Oil Change currently 26th and 25th xga at evens and all strengths but lets keep talking about Leafs bad at D
 
And Im not seeing anything weird about Jacks start. This is exactly what he did here for 2 years. Was good for a run of games where he played well but consistently let in that muffin
