This is the problem with being a perennial clown show despite having one of the best players in the world.

There's no way Connor will sit there happily while they do what they should do. It means short term pain and at this point in his career, Connor wants to win, not retool...again.

But somehow, this team became a bloated mess despite having more or less clean books just 2 years ago. A top heavy under talented forward group with well below average blueline (somehow locked in for a few more years together) and the goaltending is ugly.

I don't even have any suggestions on how to properly unwind this, there's just too much work involved.
 
Ah, I thought you had replied to me initially about signing McDavid, but I guess you were replying to him and saying Drai sucks.

You've been vocal about McDavid being just a PP specialist, so it seemed like it was an extension of that from the other day. Pretty sure you've said stinks defensively plenty though, so are you just saying Drai stinks even more?

It's too bad because I need a lawyer and he was on my shortlist. But this unfortunately has eliminated him from consideration
