They're 26th in goals scored and 18th in goals against. The offence was always disgustingly over rated.

Scoring has increased the last few seasons, having a couple guys around 1.00 PPG isn't particularly impressive at the top end (there are 52 players at 1.00 ppg or higher this season and 24 at 1.15 or higher) especially when your bottom 6 is a wasteland. Outside of their top 5 forwards, they have one forward with more than 6 goals on the season.

So not only is their top 5 not impressive (Their top 5 has 81 goals compared to our top 5 with having 103 for example) their next 5 are abysmal with 28 goals scored (ours, which is probably the least impressive thing about our roster has 35)

and then yeah, their blueline is shit and the goaltending is okay but just okay.

It was always going to be a meh team or worse and it's not just because they're missing Josh Norris.
 
Buffalo is better as long as Anderson keeps Johnny Bower'ing his ass to a .918 at 41 yrs old. There's at least some elite or fringe elite talent there and functioning NHL scoring depth.
 
Something to be said about a place that cheap within 2 hours of Toronto... depending on your industry they may be paid 1.5x what you are because murica
 
Fucking Hyman is killing it. 25th goal. Turning out to be a steal of a signing at $5.5m. Not sure how those final years will look but for now damn, guy will hit 40 fucking goals this year.

Hyman has 1 more EV goal than Bunting has.

Good for him that he's tapping in McLeo setups on the 1st PP unit, but he wouldn't be doing that here.

I agree. Just one of those “frustrating in hindsight” kind of things.

And yeah, the max term is something to take into consideration. Even at this point I still probably wouldn’t want Hyman locked up for another 6-7 years.

Bunting is still >> Hyman.

Don't be fooled by the Edmonton PP juicing his raw totals. He would not be on PP1 here (nor should he be)
