Eh...before anyone goes calling peak McDavid a better goal scorer than peak Auston

EV goals & G/60

Matthews: 44 in 73 games/ 1.94 G60
McDavid: 36 in 72 games/ 1.5 G60

PP goals & G/60

Matthews: 16/ 4.23
McDavid: 21/4.35


McDavid's edge, as usual, is usage/opportunity. If 21/22 Auston had been receiving 4:03 of PP time per game, he also scores 21 (based on rate). McDavid also has 3 shorties this year. Despite being a pretty brutal penalty killer(8th among Oiler forwards in xGA on the PK) he's gotten 95 minutes of PK time this season. Auston's a much, much better defensive player and gets no PK usage.

Yeah, the "model" organization in the league spent a decade covering up rape. What kind of people do you think are running most of these teams?
 
The mentality that homosexuality (a word which my iPhone keyboard wouldn't automatically populate even after most letters) is somehow contagious is rampant. It's so fucking stupid yet it's there.

OV is the best goalscorer still in the league.

40 goals already, at 37 years of age.

Let that sink in. He's still going.

Matthews has more goals at the same age as Ovy, and more since he joined the league.

And that's not even mentioning the extreme gap in PP TOI.
