I can't help but think Roberto Luongo switched places with Bobo before the game.7-1.

Each team did “give up on” star players though. And made blockbuster deals to bring in new star forwards.
So, neither the Panthers or Vegas are really an argument for standing pat. The lesson you could also take from them is don’t be afraid to make bold changes and identify the right guys to hang on to.
Not arguing for Marner's post-season awesomeness, just saying that all the talk (people I know wouldn't stop after we were eliminated) that Tkachuk is so much better than Marner and all that...nope. Marner will have his moment. Two out of four, if being generous, is also Marner’s payoff succes rate
wait what star players did they give up on.
Reminds me of a power struggle between Mike Keenan (then head coach of the Canucks) and Brian Burke (then GM of the Canucks). Early in the 3rd period (I *think*), Keenan kept pulling the goalie even after the opposing team scored a goal and just looked up where Burke was sitting/watching and shrugged his shoulders in an attempt to embarrass him/show him up.Empty net with 6 minutes to go in Game 5. Hilarious.
Vegas just taking practice shots for individual achievements. Sorry, Florida.
Funny how players want to sign there thoughYeah… they did the reverse, traded a bunch of guys/futures to land first liners like Stone/Eichel/Pacioretty
You forgot Pietrangelo
With this win Phil Kessel passes all 4 Staal Bros collectively in cup wins.
