I've always been unsure about the rule regarding broken sticks on the ice.

Here and there, I thought I saw penalties for knocking the broken stick out of the way with your stick, like Vegas just did there.

But...not a penalty if you do that?

I give Vegas credit for continually making a ton of trades, with no long term plan other than let’s keep making that playoffs every year.

It's just been a yearly process of getting the best guys they can get their hands on, as almost every big available name gets rumored to join them, but it all started from building a great, deep team with hustle and skill and having that as their foundation in the first place, and then adding pretty much whenever and wherever they could. None of those adds would be interested in staying there if there wasn't something good in place to begin with - it'd just be another expansion wasteland every player tries to avoid. That is one fun team to have been a fan of for the past 6 years.
