Dubas did a lot of good. Like his players though, he lacked that killer instinct to make a big move or two to put the team over the top. He got too comfy with his low event depth and gudpro d with zero offense.

But he built a solid program and was the perfect bridge for a GM to come in to make the moves necessary to take them to the next level (or to fail horribly with that which is also possible).

Not to question the almighty klingberg but didn't he from ZOMG he is great in the beginning of his Dallas career to a guy signing a 1 year deal I anahiem and traded for a 4th round pick... to now signing another 1 year deal $2.85MM less than the prior season.

Appears to be a guy who isn't highly regarded anywhere he goes.

Going forward, I think the way to judge Tre and Doobs will involve looking at different time frames.

Everything Tre does in the near term is super important because the team’s prime window is now whereas Dubas’ assignment is to design the next window while remaining vaguely competitive now
