Sid to Colorado almost = KD to the Warriors in a sense that it wouldn't make any difference in his legacy. Wouldn't have the negative backlash like KD as the Avs aren't an undisputed cup favourites but they have won without him with this group. Hence not a lot of positive impact in his legacy. It's not worth losing that elusive chance to play your whole career with one team for this.

Leafs, Canucks? Yeah go there and win a cup and you go up a notch in the GOAT talk.
 
I think it’s bullcrap. I doubt he’s requested out.

But the reason I posted it was because the thought of getting him just for a little run next year would be too damn fun.

No chance Dubie trades him to us without a massive haul in return though. At the deadline, as a pending UFA however, it will get interesting.

I agree. I don't buy it at all.
I do think over-time, he may want out as they will never see the playoffs again in his career. But it's not happening this quick.

His legacy is already cemented. He’s won all the trophies and medals on every world stage, and already chiseled his boyish mug on hockey’s Mount Rushmore.

Now it’s about how much fun this kid wants to have in his remaining playing days. Maybe it’s the Leafs that will provide it. Maybe not

If Montreal was close to contending i could buy it.

Maybe Rangers or Kings, they have a history of getting superstars at the tail end.

Avs feels like cheating.
 
I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell Dubas trades him to the Leafs without a stupid overpayment.
