So Robin Lehner made a series of cryptic posts on Dec. 13 that are fairly disturbing, seems like there is probably some mental illness involved here. Elliott and Ron reached out to him on HNIC. First post of several here:

Looks like he started posting again last night threatening to expose all kinds of stuff about the NHL. Hard to say how delusional he is right now, but it looks like he has some family issues and hopefully he gets the help he needs soon.

My money is on him being bi polar and he's suffering from a psychotic break right now. My family dealt with similar last summer in one of my sisters. The whole bit about criminal organizations being after him is a very common delusion among people with bi polar.

Its tough because there's no cure and the only real defence against it is to be on pretty heavy meds the alternative is to be hypervigilant with your self care (sleep, diet, exercise, lifestyle) and roll the dice.

Anyways, his nerdies have quietly crept down, and despite regular pp minutes he isn’t producing.

On the other hand sandin was awful last year despite paper soft usage (70pct ozone starts) and looks like a top pair guy this year.
 
Eh, he's being used as a shutdown defender with Ferraro on one of the worst teams in the league with a 46.3xG and a +5.3 xg relative. For those who like real goals, he has a positive goal differential since the trade as well.

No idea why he was scratched. Coaches do dumb things sometimes. But he's been put into heavy usage on a shit team and has done a pretty okay job in it.

Might not even be that. He's pretty gaff prone and we know how NHL coaches react to mistakes made by defenders who are trying to make a play and fuck it up. They'd much rather play a worse defender who doesn't try to make plays and just chases the puck around all night than a guy who makes plays but has some hilarious fuck ups at times.

This is how organizations give up on former 1st round picks who look like they have top 3-4 upside so that they can keep the worst puck handling defender in the league with a 43% xG in secondary defensive usage.
