it was kinda fun when the adorahabs went on that little run a couple weeks back. all the hablets here got all giddy and excited about how close their future core was.

I assume the last week or two it's been the refs and goalies really screwing them.

No just tonight. First period officiating was criminal. They've sucked ass the past few games, thought you liked that sort of thing?

Just proves that this "contest" was always bullshit. They knew from the outset what they were going to call the team and probably trademarked it. Then they have a phony "name the team" contest to make it seem like it's what people actually wanted.

The second I saw the list of possible names for the "name the team" contest when Toronto got an NBA franchise I knew that the "winner" would be Raptors. It was never going to be anything else.
