It's the Andersen hate that is getting to people. If glasses replaced Freddy with a guy that is just as good as Freddy but has a different name I feel like people would be more content. I mean.. The Campbell trade was arguably the best trade he has ever made. But becasue they still have Freddy he gets the reputation as a guy who is clueless with goalies. Not sure I agree with that.

As usual, it's somewhere in between. Emotions are getting the best of the people who just despise Freddy I think. He's no savant but his track record isn't as shambolic as most folks act like it is.

My main goaltending beef with glasses is that he brought Fred back not only after his latest flame-out against Boston, but after a lengthy clear downturn in his play in the regular season, and another playoff series against Columbus where all his usual playoff problems resurfaced.

If he'd at least been proactive with that problem, I definitely would've been more content, even if whoever else he brought in to replace Fred and pair-up with Campbell didn't necessarily work out. Even moreso if they came with a much smaller cap hit than Fred and gave us more room to work with from the start of this season.
