If the leafs sign Campbell to a 4 million contract, but over 7 years. Make it front loaded and no none movement clause. Odds are that Campbell will be LTIR before the end of this contract.
Trade with Ottawa for Murray at double retention .... Roughly 1.8.
That would be Campbell and Murray for a total of 6 million or so a season.
Is this possible?
