Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

what is this thing that the coyotes have over the NHL? There has to be something

Their take over an entire season for tickets will be 10 1/4 million dollars. (at an average of $50 per ticket) Don't know how much of the concessions they will get.
The Coyotes are still way below the minimum for the floor of contractual obligations to players and from the league.
This setup is so ridiculously sub-standard ....
This puts the NHL on par with lawn bowling.
Why not put the coyotes in Quebec for a season or 3 until their new home is built? Hell, even go to Ottawa, they need an NHL team there.

... I think that the average is closer to $250. If they can sell tickets, I'm not sure they'll lose much more than they did giving tickets away and drawing 10,000 fans.

Reality is they will never be good without a proper operational budget. Even all these picks. Who's scouting for them? Probably some intern with a VCR in a janitor's closet.
We'll see if that arena gets approved. They did this "Plan" with this university arena without a building approved. At this point they will have to add a 4th year even if approved.

And the fact they named it Mullett Arena is just the Cherry on top

Oh worry not, there’s an option to extend a season in the arena deal. 🤣
