Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

I can’t help but be happy for Freddie.
Came back to this because I feel the same way.

ALSO super glad for Ehlers. Kinda let out a little hurrah when both he and K'Andre Miller (new papa!) got picked up by the Hurricanes - interesting backgrounds for both (!), like 'em both quite a bit.

Anyway, Ehlers and Freddie winning together adds a nice touch to the soft spot I have in my heart for Denmark, a wonderful country with crazy-fine people and a now bolstered (somewhat 😇) hockey history.

😊

Interestingly, the only three Danish players in history to win the Stanley Cup (Nik Ehlers, Fred Andersen & Lars Eller) all beat the Vegas Golden Knights in the final to do it.

Doing the good lord’s work, my Viking friends.

If that's all it took to get 20th overall, maybe Carlo + 2nd + something else might've gotten it done.

I’ll be happy to see Carlo go, but I hope we do a bit better for him than just moving up a handful of spots in the draft.

That’s all the Sabres did here—trade a D in exchange for moving up seven spots in the draft.

Yeah this is probably a really good move by the sharks. Kesselring is probably a pretty good 4/5 and just sucked in Buffalo.

Superficially, sure. They're both huge RHD. Toolkits are different though. Kesselring is a better skater and puck mover, but not as safe as Carlo, less experienced, etc.

I don't think their relative trade values are similar, not after the season Kesselring just had. But it wasn't long ago that he was the headline piece in a trade for a 23 yr old top 6 winger.

Buffalo is always dumb sure but Kesselring is a 26yr old who couldn't outplay Timmins Stanley and Schenn this year so i don't think he's anything.

I like this move for SJ. Move back 7 spots and take a different lottery ticket and add a big RHD who has shown the ability to be a solid 2nd pairing guy.

has he shown the ability to be a 2nd pair guy?
