We picked Mailloux because he was a steal at that slot, all we had to do is weather the storm. Now that it has passed, it would be foolish to trade him at a discount. That being said, he needs to play, a lot.

Some people won't let the Subban-Weber deal go either. At the end of the day Mailloux never tried to hide or rationalize what he did (even though there was a ton of extenuating circumstances) and expressed contrition, which is more than can be said of Hockey Canada.

Hockey upside is there, he just needs to play hockey instead of getting sidelined. He could be the best player in the CHL this year and he's going to be blacklisted from everything.
