I admittedly have very low morality standards for the players on the teams that I support. My view is that if Ravens fans can cheer on Ray Lewis after he was accused of participating in a homicide, I can live with athletes who didn’t do things as awful as that. Yes, that’s a low bar but . . . I want my teams to win.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has to do the Jake Virtanen route and play in the KHL for a year or two before ever getting another chance, assuming he does get another chance.
