Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

their tickets will be cheaper, do the drive to the Saddledome
I'm not driving 3 hours to Cowtown unless the Habs or Als are playing. And what makes you think that the tickets would be cheaper? Calgary has more money than Edmonton. All the big oil companies are there. All we have in Edmonton are civil servants.

Just for Sal:

HuGo will undoubtedly know him well and if he’s worth salvaging, being a Mass boy who played prep @ Thayer Academy and BU…

Just for Sal:

You get compensation for not signing a player ?

He isn’t worth a ham sandwich , better get a second Flyers were never getting that in a trade

Sal has this silly notion that HuGo will sign every kid that played for the 15U Boston Jr. Eagles because they “know” him.

That’s not at all what I said - but I do trust HuGo’s intimate knowledge of northeast area prospects especially New England

Teams that select first round picks and offer them an ELC (at any point) and the player end up going unsigned? The team gets a 2nd round pick comp pick.

That's the only possible situation.

So Obrien refused to sign ?

I thought Philly never offered a deal

At some point Habs will hit the max amount of contracts, so I expect them to be quite choosy given the sheer volume of their own recent draft classes

We're at 38 for next year (35 + Cole, RHP, Ylonen) with most of our main prospects already signed (Mesar, Beck, Kidney, Roy, Mailloux). I'm sure we'll be around 46ish to start the season, filing up the rest of the NHL and AHL team. We have quite a bit of wiggle room still.
