Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

The Leafs goal differentials don't look like they'll win them any Cups. They score a lot of goals but in terms of goals against per 60 they're decidedly mediocre (I think they're hovering around 16th or 17th overall) Scoring is great but it's a hell of a lot easier to do in the regular season against bad teams and unmotivated teams. In the playoffs you win mostly by being stingy with goals against because your overall goal output goes way down once you're playing the same team every other night and they are highly motivated to fuck you in the ass on national television.

There is some scuttlebutt on some of the Devils' social media/boards that we may be on the other side of a Nemec trade, FWIW. I would be shocked if NJ traded him, but, Gretzky was traded, so anything's possible.

Apparently, according to one poster, we tried to trade Anderson for the #2 to pick Nemec. And that we've been offered 1sts for Anderson "many times' and have turned them down. So thus this rumor being floated about by Devils fans now that Nemec is healthy scratched right before the TDL.

Question. What do you guys think if we were to offer Hutson for Nemec? Or ??

No!! And I like Nemec . . . but until I know what I actually have in Hutson, no!

I'd do it without even blinking, yes. No idea why NJD would, though.
