They signed a 2nd pair defenseman to be a top pair defenseman and a 3rd pair defenseman to be a 2nd pair defenseman. Both are north of 30 years old and both were overpaid in either money or term or both.

They may as well change the team's name to the Toronto Titanic Deck Chairs.
